Alan says “The International Award for young people which operates as The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in the UK helps young people increase their self esteem and provides a terrific platform for success in future life. Holders of the Award have demonstrated they are prepared to go the extra mile and invariably make good employees. I have been involved in this excellent programme for many years and became a Trustee of the Award because it has tremendous potential to change the fabric of society. In my new role at GSL, I intend to encourage all the young people in our care and those working for the company to get involved with the Award.”
