Due to a new and long term contract win, we have an opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Area Facilities Manager to join our Integrated Services division and provide a first class maintenance service for Fullhurst Community College.

As a confident and customer focused leader, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and developing domestic and technical staff at various sites within the Leicester area. Ensuring the provision of an efficient service that meets consistently high standards in line with contractual requirements requires excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail coupled with a practical 'hands on' approach.

Supporting the operational function of the contract, you will be responsible for implementing and managing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) as well as acting as a point of contact for service users. Providing advice and guidance to contractors, employees and management, you will ensure that a safe working environment is maintained in the line with current health and safety legislation and good practice. Identifying potential problems and resolving issues means that you will need sound problem solving and time management abilities coupled with excellent interpersonal skills.

Recruiting and selecting staff so that resourcing levels are maintained, working closely with the Contract Manager to monitor subcontracted services and producing regular reports are also a feature of this role so you will also need the ability to deal with fluctuating workloads, balance priorities and meet deadlines. This role requires technical knowledge in soft and hard FM services, along with previous staff management experience and an understanding of current health and safety legislation.
