GSL manages Police custody suites and assists the Police in the secure detention, care and welfare of detained persons and their property.
Maintaining security, obtaining fingerprints, serving food and dealing with visitors are just a few of the things you'll do in this challenging and rewarding role. As a vigilant, disciplined and non-judgmental team player, you'll need the ability to relate to others and remain calm under pressure.
The role in more detail
- Assist in the accurate and prompt maintenance of manual and computerised records.
- Obtain fingerprints, photographs and DNA samples.
- Prepare and serve all drinks and meals.
- Receive, record, care and store all detained persons and property.
- Ensure the general cleanliness and hygiene of the custody facility.
