Rebound ECD (education, care and development) was set up in response to the British government's invitation to tender for secure training centres (STCs) and youth court escort services.
Secure training centres
Rebound a part of GSL UK Limited runs two secure training centres. These are Medway STC in Kent and Rainsbrook STC on the Northamptonshire / Warwickshire boarder.
Rebound has previously worked closely with the Home Office and now works with the Youth Justice Board of England and Wales (YJB) and its professional advisors to ensure that its regimes and building designs reflect best practice in residential care.
Rebound has formed a close alliance with the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme to provide the young people in our care with an enjoyable, challenging and rewarding programme of personal and social development.
Transportation and escort services
Rebound escort services are operated from our bases in Rugby and Rocester and are responsible for conveying young people around England and Wales.

Staff recruitment
Assessments and selection of staff follow precisely the principles and recommendations of ‘the Report of the Committee of Inquiry into the selection, development and management of staff in children’s homes, 1992 – CHOOSING WITH CARE’.
Residential staff, escorts and drivers, teachers, social workers, healthcare staff, maintenance, administrators, full time, part time, temporary, volunteers and students undergo a rigorous positive vetting process prior to appointment.
