GSL operates various contracts in which we process large amounts of data specifically for our customers. This activity is in addition to processing data for us to use internally to operate the contracts.
The data processing activity in our AccuRead business is extensive and includes, for example, data aggregation for utility supply companies in which we determine the amount of electricity that they have purchased from electricity generators.
Data processing is also a feature of many of our assessment processes in particular for our contract with VisitBritain. GSL is responsible for capturing and publishing a wide range of information for this organisation and in addition to cleaning the data at the start of the contract is responsible for maintaining the database.
