Police custody transport services
GSL have access to a purpose-designed custodial/detainee vehicle fleet. GSL is the only private company in the UK to be partnered by the police to provide transportation from the point of arrest to custody suites.
Our vehicles have been specifically manufactured to provide a safe and secure environment for detainees and staff involved in the delivery of the service and following guidance contained in Section 5 of the ACPO safer detention and handling of detainees in police custody document.
Our staff have been trained in officer safety techniques and other skills and drills to enable them to work alongside arresting officers in a seamless fashion. Part of the service includes the collection of detainees arrested in other parts of the UK for return back to the customer’s custody suites.
